Diversity at thyssenkrupp? Of course there is! That's what we like to demonstrate - internally and externally. Our #topteam consisting of Bianca Augustin, Astrid Hofmann, Alma Holstein, Miriam Laue, Stefanie Rochholz, Jan Rohde, Sven Scheller, Laura Schilling and Heike Valbert has organized our participation in the CSD 2023 in Cologne over the last few months and thereby showed: Blue is colorful!

What have you achieved as a team?

“After a three-year break, we organized thyssenkrupp's participation in CSD 2023 in Cologne. In addition to registration, inviting employees and our truck, we also organized a DJane, catering, our equipment and a get-together afterwards. In this way, we were able to offer employees and their friends and family the opportunity to fly the flag together in Cologne. For diversity and equality, against any form of discrimination.”

How did you achieve this together?

“For each person in our team, the issue of diversity is a matter close to our hearts. The level of commitment was correspondingly high - and went far beyond the commitment in other projects. Whether it was hauling boxes or tasks that could only be done on weekends - together as a team we tackled it and got it done. Thanks to the experience gained from previous CSD participations and the support of various colleagues, everything worked flawlessly. The trainees from Corporate also actively supported us with a number of tasks: Handing out T-shirts, packing boxes, loading the van - we couldn't have done it without you. Special thanks also go to Oliver Burkhard and Katrin Dennler, who took on the patronage for this project and whose support we could always count on.”

What is the significance of your achievement for thyssenkrupp?

"By participating in CSD 2023 we have strengthened what thyssenkrupp stands for: diversity, equality and respect. We are glad that we were able to make these values even more visible - both internally and externally. So on Sunday, with over 280 people registered, we showed: At thyssenkrupp, every person can be who he or she wants to be. We respect and support the queer community. Because: Diversity is #GENERATIONTK."

Congratulations to the #topteam on this great achievement!
